Jobless Claims Tumble to 335,000
Published at | Updated at(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims turned around in the second week of January, falling by 37,000, the Labor Department reported on Thursday.
For the week ending Jan. 12, the number of people filing for benefits dropped to 335,000. The previous week, claims stood at 373,000.
The four-week average also went down, decreasing by 6,750 to 359,250.
