Joffrey Lupol Signs Five-Year Extension
Published at(TORONTO) — The Toronto Maple Leafs signed winger Joffrey Lupol to a five-year contract extension Sunday.
According to an ESPN source, Lupol will average $5.25 million a season.
The 29-year-old Lupol is now signed through the 2017-18 season. He is coming off a year where he had 25 goals and 42 assists, setting career highs in assists and points.
Lupul joined Toronto during the 2010-11 season when the Leafs sent defenseman Francois Beauchemin to Anaheim for Lupol and defenseman Jake Gardiner.
During his eight-year NHL career, Lupol has scored 151 goals while dishing out 172 assists.
