L.A. Lakers Lose Howard, Gasol And Hill To Injuries
Published at(EL SEGUNDO, Calif.) — Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard has been ruled out indefinitely with a torn labrum in his right shoulder, an MRI revealed on Monday.
The team said the six-time NBA All-Star initially suffered the injury during last Friday’s 107-102 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and reaggravated it in Sunday’s 112-105 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
Howard will travel with the team this week to Houston and San Antonio where he will receive treatment. He’ll be re-examined in a week.
The Lakers will also be without forwards Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill. The 32-year-old Gasol will not travel with the team and is out indefinitely after suffering a concussion in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game.
The 25-year-old Hill is out with a right hip injury.
