Michigan State Holds Off No. 11 Ohio State In Thriller
Published at(EAST LANSING, MI) — DeShaun Thomas’ missed a three pointer in the game’s final seconds as No. 18 Michigan State knocked off No. 11 Ohio State on Saturday.
Thomas scored 28 points in the loss for the Buckeyes (13-4, 3-2 Big Ten), who just couldn’t overcome a strong effort by Michigan State.
Keith Appling scored 15 points for Michigan State (16-3, 5-1), including two clutch free-throws with 7.9 seconds remaining. Adreian Payne scored 14.
The Spartans have won five straight conference games.
These two teams play again at Ohio State on February 24.
