(POCATELLO, ID)  —   A proposal from the Pocatello Police Department would equip school resource officers with more guns, among other equipment. Authorities say the resource officers covering District 25 want a place to secure rifles and criminal evidence in their school offices. One solution would be to install gun safes in each of the offices. Police Chief Scott Marchand says the lock-boxes would eliminate any problems if someone from outside the police force was enabled access to the offices.
