(NEW ORLEANS) — The Baltimore Ravens arrived in the Big Easy on Monday as they prepare to take on the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday in Super Bowl XLVII at the Superdome.
Baltimore linebacker Ray Lewis, who’s announced he is retiring after the end of the season, is looking to win his second Vince Lombardi trophy. He was part of a vaunted defense in 2000 that captured the Ravens’ first NFL championship, in Super Bowl XXXV.
The 49ers arrived in New Orleans late Sunday night. They’re back in the Super Bowl for the first time since Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young led the red and gold to their fifth NFL championship in Super Bowl XXIX.
