Rexburg Considering Airport Expansion

(REXBURG, ID) — Expanding the Rexburg-Madison airport has been a hot topic of discussion for years, and now has the backing of the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce. Executive director Donna Benfield tells Local News 8 that extending the runway would make the Upper Valley a more viable area for corporate jets to land in. Officials will take their plans to a meeting with state and federal aviation authorities. Benfield says expanding the airport would be a plus for major economic growth in the region.
