Rockies Agree to Two-Year Deal with Jhoulys Chacin
Published at(NEW YORK) — The Colorado Rockies have agreed to a two-year, $6.5 million contract with pitcher Jhoulys Chacin, according to The Denver Post, pending a physical.
The 25-year-old Chacin was eligible for arbitration, but with this deal he will not be eligible again until the 2015 season.
The right-handed Chacin had a tough 2012. He missed more than three months of the season with right shoulder inflammation. In the 14 starts he did make he struggled, going 3-5 with a 4.43 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP.
For his career, Chacin has a 23-31 record to along with a 3.68 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP.
