(MINNEAPOLIS) — Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love underwent successful surgery on his broken right hand, the club announced on Tuesday. He is expected to miss 8-10 weeks.
The 24-year-old Love was operated on by Dr. Michelle Carson at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
The two-time All-Star re-fractured his right hand earlier this month in a game against the Denver Nuggets. He initial injured his hand during a workout at his home back in mid-October.
In 18 games this season, Love is averaging 18.3 points and 14.0 rebounds per game.
