(POCATELLO, ID) — A Pocatello teen had to be rescued from the Portneuf River after he fell in Thursday afternoon. Officials say the boy, whose name has not been released, was horsing around on a bridge and fell in. Because of high concrete walls and a chain link fence on both sides of the river, the teen found himself stuck in about a foot of water with few options. Wet and cold, the teen climbed onto a large block of ice and waited for crews to help him out. The boy was treated for minor hypothermia, but was otherwise unhurt.
