The team finished just 6-7 in 2011 and suffered a one-year postseason ban after players took a total of $14,000 in cash and tattoos in exchange for jerseys, rings and other Buckeyes memorabilia.

Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer told ABC Sports Radio Wednesday that it was difficult that his team didn’t have a chance to play in a Bowl this season after going 12-0 in 2012.

“It’s tough but at the end of the day you can only control what you can control,” said Meyer.  “The fact that we finished undefeated and beat our rivals in the last game, it’s time to move forward and get ready for next year.”

As for his former quarterback in Florida, international sensation Tim Tebow, Meyer was asked if he thought the New York Jets handled Tebow the right way.

“I don’t know enough about it other than it didn’t work out,”said Meyer.  “That happens, you got to control what you can control and Tim’s going to have to move on and go get ready to play next year and hopefully get in a system where he can play.”

Asked if he would consider one of the current seven vacant NFL jobs if someone reached out to him, Meyer answered, “I’m an Ohio State Buckeye and our focus is on that.”
