“Zero Dark Thirty,” “Gangster Squad,” “A Haunted House” Open Friday

Zero Dark Thirty: Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar-nominated follow-up to The Hurt Locker documents the hunt for and killing of Osama bin Laden.  Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, Kyle Chandler, Mark Strong, Chris Pratt and James Gandolfini star.  Rated R.

Gangster Squad: Set in 1949 Los Angeles, this drama tells the story of a group of L.A. police officers who attempt to take down a mob king, played by Sean Penn.  Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Emma Stone, Michael Pena and Anthony Mackie also star.  Rated R.

A Haunted House: In this horror spoof, Marlon Wayans plays a guy whose girlfriend is possessed by an evil spirit.  Cedric the Entertainer, Essence Atkins, David Koechner and Nick Swardson star.  Rated R.
