(9) Kansas Avenges Loss to TCU

Ed Zurga/Getty Images(LAWERENCE, Kan.) -- Kansas wasn't going to let it happen twice.

The No. 9 Jayhawks destroyed TCU 74-48 Saturday, as Kansas avenged their 62-55 loss to TCU earlier this month.

Kansas (23-4) scored only 13 points in the first half of their last meeting with TCU. The Jayhawks returned the favor by holding the Horned Frogs to nine first half points.

Jeff Withey led the Jayhawks with 18 points and chipped in six rebounds in the win.

"We knew we had to attack them," Withey said. "The first game we only scored two points in the first ten minutes so we knew we had to just attack. We ran our offense really well."

TCU (10-17) outscored Kansas in the second half 39-36, but it wasn't enough.

Devonta Abron led the Horned Frogs with 18 points.
