But a brazen bank thief in the Philadelphia area hit his tenth bank Thursday — with his only cover being a five o’clock shadow.

Police and the FBI believe the suspect has robbed eight banks and attempted to rob two others this past month, with nothing to conceal his identity other then dark-framed glasses and an occasional ski hat or baseball cap.

The latest robbery took place Thursday at 1:37 p.m. at a TD Bank branch in Drexel Hill, Pa.

FBI spokeswoman in Philadelphia, Carrie Adamowski, told ABC News the suspect is in his late 20s to early 30s and about 5-foot-9.

“He [the suspect] has passed bank tellers threatening… notes, but has not displayed a weapon. Still, he is considered armed and dangerous due to the potential for escalation into violence. Thankfully, no one has so far been injured,” Adamowski said.

“Basically, he’s just been lucky,” said Adamowski, when asked how an undisguised robber gets away with so many bank thefts. “These robberies have taken place across several different jurisdictions. As soon as it was recognized that we had a serial robber on our hands, we were able to consolidate everyone’s efforts into following potential leads.”

The FBI’s Philadelphia Division of Violent Crime Task Force as well as Philadelphia police urge anyone with information about these robberies or the subject to call the Philadelphia FBI at (215) 418-3000.
