Crash on Lorenzo Bridge Blocks Traffic

(RIGBY, ID) — An early morning crash on the Lorenzo Bridge along U.S. Hwy 20 blocked traffic for several hours Monday. Idaho State Police say a semi truck was passing a tow truck on the bridge at around 3:30 a.m. when the semi lost control and crashed through both northbound barriers. Another semi truck then crashed into the wreckage. A total of four people were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Officials say the crash was likely caused by freezing fog, which can make the road look dry when it’s actually icy.
