Rose participated in 5-on-5 drills with the Bulls at practice on Monday for the first time since injuring his ACL in last year’s playoffs.

“He did what everyone else did,” Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said of Rose. “Just a normal practice.”

Rose told USA Today last week that he would not come back to game action until he was “110 percent” and added “I’m feeling good, but like I said, if it’s where it’s taking me a long time and I’m still not feeling right, I don’t mind missing this year.”

Joakim Noah said that Rose still cannot dunk in stride.

“He’s doing what he should be doing,” Thibodeau said. “He’s focused on his rehab, doing more and more. We just have to be patient. When he’s ready, he’ll go.”
