Downed Power Pole Causes Traffic Delays, Detours

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — A car crash and a downed power pole tied up traffic along Yellowstone in Idaho Falls Tuesday. Investigators say the driver of a Volkswagen Golf may have been racing when they crashed into a power pole between Elva and Holmes. Power was knocked out for hundreds of homes and businesses in the immediate area. Crews temporarily closed Holmes from Yellowstone to Anderson during rush hour as they worked to replace the pole and restore power.
