“Downton Abbey” Reaches Ratings High with Season Finale
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — The ratings for the season finale of Downton Abbey weren’t shabby.
The third-season finale, which aired Sunday night on PBS, was seen by 8.2 million viewers, according to Variety. It’s the largest U.S. audience to date for the British drama, and a sizable increase from the 5.4 million who watched the second-season finale last February.

A fourth season of Downton Abbey is planned.
