(CEDAR CITY, UT) — A former Los Angeles police officer wanted for killing at least three people in southern California has ties to Utah. Christopher Dorner played college football at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, and is now the subject of an intense manhunt in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Mexico. Dorner allegedly started the killing spree to punish those whom he believes are directly responsible for his 2008 dismissal from the LAPD. SUU athletic officials say Dorner had an unremarkable career as a backup running back, graduating with a degree in political science in 2001.
