(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  —   An area non-profit group is working with parents to educate them about the warning signs of prescription drug abuse among local youth. Officials with the Bonneville Youth Development Council say many parents aren’t aware of their teen’s substance abuse problems until they’ve been using for over a year. They recommend turning in any unused or unwanted prescription medications to area law enforcement as a precaution. For more information about ways to talk to kids about drug abuse, contact coordinator Alisha Passey at 528-0153.
