Idaho Can’t Keep Up With Inflation
Published at(BOISE, ID) — Idaho is seeing a rise in the number of goods produced in rural areas, but that’s not enough to keep up with the rising tide of inflation. Idaho ‘s 33 rural counties produced $17.5 billion in goods and services in 2011 alone, a 5.1 percent increase from 2010. State labor officials say that once inflation is taken into account, the state saw its gross production rate decline by just under one percent.
