(LOS ANGELES) — Director David O. Russell is sticking with what works. He is planning another collaboration with his Silver Linings Playbook star Jennifer Lawrence, agreeing to direct a drama titled The Ends of the Earth, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, based on true events, will tell the story of a romance between a powerful oil tycoon and his adopted daughter. Lawrence was cast in the film last year.
The Ends of the Earth was written by the same screenwriter who penned the screenplay for Argo.
Lawrence is also set to make a cameo in Russell’s next film, an untitled drama that will star her Silver Linings Playbook co-star, Bradley Cooper, plus Christian Bale and Amy Adams. Bale and Adams appeared in Russell’s boxing drama The Fighter.
Russell, Lawrence, Cooper, Robert De Niro and Jacki Weaver are all nominated for an Oscar for their work on Silver Linings Playbook, which is a contender for best picture.
You can now own a piece of Silver Linings Playbook by visiting the website of the memorabilia company Premiere Props, which is selling items featured in the movie, including costumes worn by Lawrence and Cooper. The props range in price from a few hundred dollars to $3,000. Check out the sale at PremiereProps.com or on Amazon.com.
The same company is also holding a Hollywood memorabilia auction in El Segundo, Calif., on March 2 and 3, featuring items from movies like Django Unchained, The Big Lebowski and more.
