Flacco is set to be a free agent after the Super Bowl on Sunday, after the Ravens and his side failed to agree on a contract before the season started.

“It’s real simple,” Flacco said on Thursday. “We didn’t agree on a number and I didn’t really care to discuss it any further once it got to that point. Bottom line is I’m not the guy going up into their offices and negotiating with them every day anyways. It was really never a concern of mine and I never really thought about it. Even in the offseason, when you think about it a little bit, they are really all good thoughts.”

But Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti isn’t worried about Flacco leaving Baltimore and believes once the Super Bowl concludes the two sides will get back to working on a long-term contract.

“We have a franchise quarterback, he’s going to get franchise money,” Bisciotti said. “We’ve got our quarterback for the next 10 years and we’re going to ride Joe.”

Flacco just set the record for most career road playoff victories after his team beat the Patriots in the AFC Championship game.  A win on Sunday against the 49ers may silent Flacco’s critics and launch him into elite quarterback status.
