(GOLD COAST, Australia) — Karrie Webb won her eighth Australian Ladies Masters championship at Royal Pines on Sunday with a two stroke victory over Chella Choi, Ariya Jutanugarn and Su-Hyn Oh.
The 38-year-old Webb began the day trailing by two shots, but took the lead thanks to a birdie on the 14th hole. She finished the final round with a five-under-par, 67 to win the season-opening event on the European Ladies Tour.
Webb’s eight victories in the same tournament matches Sam Snead’s PGA Tour record, who won the Greater Greensboro Open eight times.
Jessica Korda, who won last year’s Australian Open at Royal Melbourne finished three shots back.
