Kelly says the nuptials will take place outdoors in the early fall at her and Brandon’s Nashville home.  The flowers will include sunflowers, as well as yellow roses, in honor of her and Brandon’s Texas roots…as in “The Yellow Rose of Texas.”  She tells People that she’ll walk barefoot down the aisle with no wedding party to speak of — just her future stepdaughter, Savannah, who’s Brandon’s daughter from his first marriage.  And yes, Kelly says that she and Brandon will “totally” have their own child at some point.

As for the dress, Kelly says it’s Vera Wang, and is her “personality in a dress,” which means it’s not all frou-frou and frilly. “It’s sweetly damaged.  A little rock and roll.  A little tattered,” she tells People. “Nothing like a princess thing!”  The food, meanwhile, will consist of her and Brandon’s favorite meals: steak for him and turkey and gravy for her.

Kelly also tells People magazine how Brandon proposed.  It seems the couple was hanging out in their basement, and Brandon was getting ready to pop the question during a game of darts, but an unsuspecting Kelly moved things along by blurting out, apropos of nothing, “Thanks for being an awesome guy.”  Brandon saw his opening, dropped to his knee and asked her to marry him.

So Kelly didn’t see it coming at all?  “Not a damn clue!” she says. “If I did, I would have worn something besides Uggs and a sweatshirt with no bra!”
