(RIVERSIDE, Calif.) — Hundreds gathered in Riverside, Calif., Wednesday to remember Michael Crain, the police officer allegedly gunned down by ex-Los Angeles Police Department officer Christopher Dorner last week.
Crain, a former Marine, was sitting in a patrol car at a stoplight when Dorner allegedly opened fire with a rifle. The other officer in the car was seriously injured, but is expected to survive.
The Riverside Police Department closed its offices so employees could attend the service.
Crain, who was 34, leaves behind his wife, a 10-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter.
