(MORELAND, ID)  —  A Moreland man has received county approval to move forward with plans for a large rabbit farm.   Jared Martin already has several rabbits on his property, but will be expanding with up to 1,500 rabbits in the next few months. Martin plans to sell some of the animals as pets, with the rest being shipped to a meat processor in California. He says there isn’t much demand for rabbit meat locally, but there is a market for rabbits at the national level as a white meat substitute.
