Lotulelei will not be allowed to work out Monday at the scouting combine. An echocardiogram recently revealed a heart condition for the former Utah player that will require more tests. Bruce Tollner, Lotulelei’s agent, told ESPN’s Joe Schad that his client had an abnormal test result as part of his physical, and he will visit a specialist in the near future.

The first team All-American is considered one of the draft’s five best prospects, so this is something NFL teams will be monitoring closely.

It was discovered that Lotulelei has an abnormally low Ejection Fraction, showing that the left heart ventricle was pumping at only 44 percent efficiency. The normal efficiency is around 55-70 percent.

Despite the setback, Lotulelei will still be interviewed by NFL teams in Indianapolis and will participate in Utah’s Pro Day on March 20.
