Oklahoma State Defeats (2) Kansas, 85-80
Published at(NORMAN, Oklahoma) — Junior guard Markel Brown poured in 28 points as Oklahoma State (15-5) took down (2) Kansas (19-2), 85-80 Saturday night at Allen Fieldhouse. The loss snaps the Jayhawks nation leading 18-game winning streak and their 33-game home winning streak.
Freshman guard Marcus Smart had 25 points and nine rebounds as the Cowboys win their first game against a top-five ranked opponent on the road since defeating the Jayhawks on Jan. 2, 1958.
Kansas was led by freshman guard Ben McLemore who had 23 points, five rebounds and two blocks.
