Parcells began his head coaching career in the Big Apple, taking over Big Blue following the 1982 season when Ray Perkins left to become head coach at the University of Alabama. In eight seasons roaming the sidelines at the Meadowlands, Parcells compiled a record of 77-49-1, leading the Giants to their first two Super Bowl championships.

Later on, Parcells became the head coach of the New England Patriots (1993-1996), the New York Jets (1997-1999) and the Dallas Cowboys (2003-2006). He also worked in the front office of the Miami Dolphins.

Joining Parcells in the Class of 2013 will be former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Warren Sapp, former Minnesota Viking wide receiver Cris Carver, former Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden and former Dallas Cowboys guard Larry Allen.

Two senior selections, former Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Curley Culp and former Green Bay Packers linebacker Dave Robinson will also be enshrined in Canton
