A former second-round pick by the Lions in 2011, Young was cut by the Lions due to his behavior and attitude. The Lions banished Young on three separate occasions last year because of his behavior. He recently took to Twitter to lash out at the team, and the Lions had had enough. Apparently the Rams felt the same way as well.

Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said that the release of Young had nothing to do with performance or health.

“We saw Titus as an outstanding young player,” Fisher said. “We spent time with him. We spent probably four or five days with him. We decided it was best for us to go in a different direction.”

Young’s first two seasons in the NFL might also wind up being the last time he plays professional football. For his career, Young caught 81 passes for 990 yards with ten touchdowns.
