State Committee Approves Anti-Marijuana Bill
Published at(BOISE, ID) — A state Senate committee has voted to move forward on a resolution condemning all forms of marijuana use. The bill does not change any existing drug laws. Republican Sen. Chuck Winder says it sends a clear message that Idaho expects the federal government to enforce existing laws. Opponents including the American Civil Liberties Union spoke out against the resolution, claiming it unfairly targets otherwise law-abiding citizens who could potentially benefit from the drug’s medical uses.
