Nielsen says an estimated 108.41 million viewers tuned in to the Baltimore Ravens’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 47 at New Orleans’ Superdome, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The broadcast ranks as the third-most-watched program in U.S. television history, behind the 2012 Super Bowl, which was seen by a record 111.3 million, and the 2011 Super Bowl, which drew 111 million.

The post-Super Bowl episode of the CBS drama Elementary attracted an audience of 20.8 million.  It aired later than CBS would have liked, since the game was delayed 34 minutes in the third quarter by a power outage.
