Survivalists Developing More Land in N. Idaho

(ST. MARIES, ID)  —   It’s no secret that northern Idaho is a haven for survivalist groups, but for the residents of St. Maries, it’s getting pretty strange. One group has plans for a massive medieval-style walled city known as the Citadel.  Officials say that if the plan comes to fruition, it would double Benewah County’s current population to more than 18,000. Though organizers say hundreds of families have already applied to live at the facility, county commissioners say it’s unlikely that much will come of it.
