(NEW YORK) — The Avengers will assemble at the Oscars. The producers of this year’s telecast have announced that most of the actors who portrayed the Marvel superhero group on the big screen last year — Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo — will present together.
All of the aforementioned actors except for Evans have been nominated for an Oscar at least once in their career.
Marvel’s The Avengers was the highest-grossing movie of 2012, raking in $623 million at the domestic box office.
ABC will air the 85th Academy Awards live from Hollywood on Sunday, Feb. 24. Four days earlier, on Feb. 20, Katie Couric will host an Oscar-themed edition of ABC’s 20/20 that will take a look back at past ceremonies. It will feature current nominees and other stars such as Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Denzel Washington and Sally Field.
