Gonzaga (29-2, 16-0 WCC) finishes the season undefeated in the West Coast Conference. The win coupled with losses this week by Indiana, Duke and Michigan now likely vaults the Zag’s to No. 1 in the country for the first time in the programs history.

“It’s never happened here before,” Gonzaga head coach Mark Few said of possibly being ranked No. 1. “It would be an honor. If they think that highly of us, we’ll take it.”

Gonzaga is currently on a 12-game win streak, with its last loss coming by one point against Butler in January.

Portland (11-20, 4-12 WCC) received 10 points from guard Derrick Rodgers. The Pilots have now lost 18 straight to the Bulldogs.
