(NEW YORK) — Beyonce’s fit frame will grace the cover of Shape magazine’s April 2013 issue. In video from behind the scenes of her photo shoot with the health and fitness magazine, Bey says, “I’m not a person that is very thin. I’m a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape.”
Beyonce says that she gained 57 pounds when she was pregnant with her daughter, Blue Ivy, who was born in January 2012. “I didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again,” Beyonce says laughing.
Somewhere between rehearsals and performing, Bey shed the baby weight. “For me, dancing is what keeps me active,” says Beyonce, who jumped around in stilettos and a couple of different body-baring outfits during her Shape photo shoot. For those who want a bikini body like Bey’s, she says, “Everyone is not supposed to be the same. Be healthy, and take care of yourself. But be happy with the beautiful things that make you you.”
