(BOISE, ID) — Bishop Michael Driscoll of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise is asking for Idahoans to pray for the new leader of the church.  Driscoll says he’s pleased with the decision to elect Pope Francis I, and is confident that Francis has the spiritual guidance necessary to lead the Catholic Church today. The new leader, who grew up in Argentina, is the first Latin American pope in the faith’s history. The 76-year-old pope has previously affirmed that he will rigorously support the church’s stance on traditional marriage, abortion, and helping the needy
