Blackfoot Man Sentenced for Vehicular Manslaughter

(BLACKFOOT, ID) — A Blackfoot man will serve at least ten years in prison on a charge of vehicular manslaughter. 42-year-old Kenny Carl Struhs was sentenced Tuesday in district court, and was also ordered to pay $7,500 in fines and restitution. Last August, Struhs hit a motorcycle driven by 36-year-old Brent Hansen of Blackfoot, then left the scene of the accident. Hansen died from his injuries. Prosecutor Cleve Colson was pleased with the ruling, saying that the sentence was appropriate for the severity of the case.
