Bulls’ Derrick Rose Still Unsure About When He Will Return
Published at(DEERFIELD, Ill.) — Even though he’s been medically cleared, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose still doesn’t know when he’ll make his return to the court.
Rose tore his ACL on April 28 and underwent surgery on May 12. While Rose is getting better, he’s not ready to play for the Bulls just yet.
“It could be tomorrow and I feel like I could play the next game,” said Rose. “Nobody knows but God.”
“I’m just taking my time. I’m just being patient, doing all the right things and really eating right and getting rest,” Rose added.
When healthy, Rose is one of the best players in the NBA. The 2010-2011 MVP played 39 games last season and averaged 21.8 points and 7.9 assists per game.
In his absence, the Bulls have managed to keep their heads above water. The team is 36-31 and are holding onto the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
