Kolb was released by the Arizona Cardinals earliest this month after the two sides were able to agree to a restructured contract. Schefter is also reporting that Kolb will receive a “maximum of $13 million.” No other financial details have been released as of now.

This will be Kolb’s third team in his NFL career, and once again he’ll be competing for the starting job. Back in 2010, Kolb was groomed as the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback of the future. But he suffered a concussion during the first game of the season and Michael Vick stepped in, and played so well that the Eagles traded Kolb to the Cardinals the next offseason.

Kolb once again battled injuries during his two season with the Cardinals. In 15 games, Kolb threw 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

The Bills released last year’s starting quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, so the starting job is up for grabs. Kolb will likely be competing with Tavaris Jackson during training camp to determine who will be the starting quarterback in 2013.
