EU Fines Microsoft over Browsers
Published at(NEW YORK) — The European Union has fined Microsoft $732 million for not offering consumers a choice of browsers on new Windows devices.
Microsoft had originally agreed to a deal where it would offer both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome along with Internet Explorer on new Windows machines, but it has refused to go through on its promise.
E.U. has strict monopoly regulations, often much harsher than those in the U.S.
