(MENLO PARK, Calif.) — Here’s some News Feed news. Facebook invited reporters to “come see a new look for News Feed” next Thursday at the social network’s campus in Menlo Park, Calif.
The new update appears to solely make improvements and changes to the News Feed, which is the updating scroll that lets users know what their friends are up to. According to TechCrunch, Facebook has been testing improved versions of the News Feed feature in mobile apps. The social network has recently overhauled its iPhone and Android apps, making them faster to use.
The event comes after the social network announced Thursday night that it acquired Atlas, a digital advertising company, from Microsoft. The acquisition, Facebook says, will help advertising with targeting audiences on the web and through mobile.
Facebook held a similar event at its campus in January when it unveiled its new Graph Search, a search tool that lets you search across your friends information.
ABC News will have the news on Facebook’s News Feed announcement on March 7.
