Harvard Clinches Second-Straight NCAA Tournament Bid
Published at(CAMBRIDGE, Mass.) — Junior guard Laurent Rivard scored 17 points and freshman guard Siyani Chambers contributed 16 as Harvard (19-9, 11-3 Ivy) defeated Cornell (13-18, 5-9 Ivy) 65-56 on Saturday.
Later in the day, Brown (13-15, 7-7 Ivy) defeated Princeton (16-11, 9-4 Ivy), 80-67 to give the Crimson their third consecutive Ivy League championship and their second straight NCAA tournament bid.
Senior guard Miles Asafo-Adjei led the way for the Big Red with 15 points while senior forward Errick Peck added 14.
In last year’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, Harvard lost in the first round to Vanderbilt, 79-70.
