Idaho Falls Man Charged With Aggravated Assault

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An Idaho Falls man has been charged with aggravated battery after police say he used a baseball bat to threaten another person. 20-year-old Austin Hayes and his girlfriend allegedly approached the victim to discuss a child custody issue. The victim, who had a child with Hayes’ girlfriend, claimed that Hayes ran up to his house swinging a bat and threatening to attack him. Hayes was booked into the Bonneville County Jail. His girlfriend, 20-year-old Dontie Shaw, was cited for disturbing the peace.
