(LOS ANGELES) — James Franco was honored with the 2,492nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.
The versatile actor was accompanied by his mother, along with his Oz the Great and Powerful director Sam Raimi, Seth Rogen, and other friends and family.
Franco said he never expected the honor when he moved to Los Angeles from Northern California: “You’d see the stars, and it just seemed like it was something that was part of the city, and you’d never crack that, it’s just part of Hollywood history, and it’s still baffling that my name will be there.”
His star is located in front of the El Capitan Theatre, near the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio. Franco joked that Jimmy Kimmel can shine his star every day.
Oz the Great and Powerful is now in theaters.
