Boldin’s future is in doubt with the club, and quarterback Joe Flacco is standing behind his teammate.

The Ravens have asked Boldin to take a pay cut in order to remain with the team. Flacco, who recently signed the most lucrative contract in NFL history, doesn’t think Bodlin should cave into the team’s demands.

“Without him, we don’t win the Super Bowl,” Flacco told USA Today Sports. “He’s a huge part of this team and someone I want to see back. Obviously, when you’re a player of his caliber, you believe you’re worth a number and that’s what you should get. He’s going to stick to his guns, and that’s the way it should be.”

Boldin previously said that he would retire if he were cut by the team, but has softened his stance recently and said he’d have to consult the future of his NFL career with his family first.

After three seasons with the Ravens, Boldin had emergenced as Flacco’s most reliable pass target. In the playoffs, he caught 22 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns.
