A rep for the performer has confirmed to ABC News Radio that Biebs was “heading to the doctor….He fainted and took a twenty-minute reprieve and was given oxygen.”

While medics tended to the star backstage, Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun informed the crowd the star was feeling unwell. “Justin got very light of breath,” Braun said. “The whole show he’s been complaining, he’s backstage with the EMTs and the doctor.”

Braun promised fans Justin would be back to finish the show, and the pop star did just that before heading to the hospital. Justin was slated to perform four more songs before he collapsed.

Justin has reassured his fans on Twitter that he’s doing OK. He wrote, “getting better. thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. best fans in the world. figuring out what happened. thanks for the love.”

In addition, Braun has tweeted, “tough as nails,” and, “tough kid. proud night. once again he always finishes the show. full out. true pro. now get better and rest up! strange night but proud nt.”

Justin is scheduled to perform his fourth and final show at the O2 arena on Friday.

Justin’s past week in the U.K. has been rough on him. Last Thursday, Justin arrived back to his hotel, shirtless and almost pantless, following his concert in Birmingham, England, and partied until 6:30 a.m.  Then, there was the whole “worst birthday” fiasco at a London club Friday night, when he and his entourage got into a disagreement with security and his party was cut short.  Finally, Justin was slammed by parents, kids and the papers when he started his London concert Monday night two hours late.

On Wednesday, Justin launched into an extended rant on Twitter in which he struck down the rumors about him. Among other things, he wrote, “Fake stories to sell papers i guess are part of the job. but im a good person. i know that. u cant tell me different. we know the truth.”
