Kentucky helped its slim NCAA tournament chances with a 61-57 win over No. 11 Florida on Saturday.

It was an exciting ending as the Gators took a 57-50 lead late in the second half.  The Wildcats responded by scoring the game’s final 11 points to steal a win from their rivals.

The Wildcats (21-10, 12-6 SEC) probably need at least another win in next week’s SEC tournament to receive an NCAA tournament bid.

Archie Goodwin led the Wildcats with 16 points while Ryan Harrow and Julius Mays added 13 each.  Mays’ two free-throws with nine seconds left helped seal the victory.

The Gators (24-6, 14-4), were paced by Erik Murphy’s 17 points.

Kentucky finishes the season 4-3 in games without freshman phenom Nerlens Noel, who was lost to a season-ending knee injury last month.
