(NEW YORK) — Dwight Howard most likely won’t be having David Lee over for dinner anytime soon. Howard has vowed retribution on Lee after an altercation erupted on Monday night.
In the second quarter of the game between Howard’s Lakers and Lee’s Warriors, Howard was called for a technical foul in a play where he was smacked in the face by Lee, causing Howard to get a cut lip. Howard wasn’t too pleased with Lee after the game.
“He got away with a shot,” Howard told Yahoo! Sports. “I will remember this game. I will remember that shot. He said he wasn’t trying to do it. You can look at the play and see for yourself. I will take care of it later.”
Lee did get the last laugh Monday night, as the Warriors beat the Lakers 109-103, and hurt the Lakers’ playoff chances. The team now holds the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference by just one game.
Meanwhile, the Warriors currently are holding down the sixth seed in the Western Conference, but have only a one game lead over the seventh seeded Houston Rockets.
